From 2017 to 2019, the sales of self-propelled RVs increased steadily. In 2020, affected by the epidemic, the sales of self-propelled RVs dropped to 8,787 units. In 2021, under the influence of relevant policies to further promote bulk consumption and key consumption, and the continuous impact of the new crown epidemic on the tourism service industry, domestic self-driving tours and RV tours featuring "low-density tourism" are highly sought after, and the RV market is picking up. , sales of self-propelled RVs increased to 12,582. The epidemic has changed the way people travel, and public travel has shifted to a more free itinerary that uses less public transportation. Self-driving tours in RVs have become a popular choice for many people. Sales of self-propelled RVs are expected to exceed 14,000 in 2022.

SAIC MAXONG Yutong Bus Sales Lead

In 2021, SAIC Maxus and Yutong will sell more than 1,300 self-propelled RVs, 1,362 and 1,311 respectively, ranking the top two. Hubei Heli ranked third with 705 units sold. In addition, Hubei Chengli, Zhejiang Dade Longcui Automobile, and Jiangsu Weihang sold over 500 vehicles. Compared with the same period of the previous year, the sales volume of Anhui Chery River special vehicles increased significantly, up 418.6% year-on-year. SAIC MAXUS and Zhejiang Dade Longcui Automobile increased by more than 90%, 99.1% and 96.1% respectively.

The competitive landscape of self-propelled RVs is more fragmented

The market concentration of self-propelled RVs in China is relatively low, with 55.5% for CR10, 37.3% for CR5 and 26.8% for CR3. In 2021, SAIC Maxus will have a market share of up to 10.8%, followed by Yutong Bus with a market share of 10.4%. Hubei Heli, Hubei Chengli, and Zhejiang Dade Longcui have a market share of over 5%, 5.6%, 5.3%, and 5.2% respectively.
